    Brick uses. Door stop, a marker, to hide a key, bicep curls, to sculpt, to stop vehicle rolling, smash a window or someone, a book stop, sharpen knife, an ornament, to meditate with, use to make noise or to alarm someone, to make a friend and call it suzan, to scratch an itch, stop jeans from blowing away, an ash tray, a hammer, a trow, to prep food on. All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

    Not all creativity is good. I mean, for someone to come up with the idea that a human being can call him/ herself ‘ze’ and so successfully sale it is a sign of high creativity and intelligence. Those who created all other monsters- from religions to science- have been both creative and highly intelligent. So what? We would have been much better off without their ideas. I am not creative, I just have an active imagination. When I see something (not mechanical things as I am useless when dealing with machines and physical mechanisms) not working, my mind automatically switches into idea generating mode and I see how things could be improved through innovation or invention. So what? Is anybody interested? No. I don’t know what’s worse- nobody being interested or some being interested for the wrong reasons? That’s why I will never create anything. I don’t want people to laugh at it/ dismiss it just because they are mean, and I don’t want to risk bringing something into the world that will be misused for nefarious purposes. So, as life is being refused to me, I’m creating my own after-life. It’s not 100% original, but at least it makes sense to me . I mistrust humankind so much that I am not even committing everything to writing and drawing everything I want to, in case somebody hacks into my laptop. After I die, I will have time to create properly and nobody will laugh at me or steal and misuse.

    0:45, 4:27 To think creatively is being able to take an idea toss it into the abstract realm, and come up with connections to other ideas that seem arbitrary at first but are actually useful and can be explained. Idea analogies/connections/parallels, order/sense/meaning out of abstraction, stepping out of the traditional path and finding a new one out of what initially seems like wilderness/abstraction, being able to apply seemingly unrelated lessons/ideas to the matter at hand and form a useful solution/conclusion. Implement this skill in conversation to find the conversational nodes/ideas to branch off of and keep a conversation going/engaging/interesting. 13:28 you will be bad first and it won't click on the first node but you have to keep going because once you find a good one its exponential connection

      I agree that this is one form of creativity. One example of the value of the process is cross-discipline scientific study and research. Those dedicated to a specific field of science are often shocked to see someone come in completely from the outside and propose something that leads to new discovery.

    • @wesfin
      @wesfin 2 місяці тому

      @@tmcleanful Wow, good point. Makes sense why creativity seems to be correlated with a willingness to be open and consider things from seemingly arbitrary perspectives. I wonder if that means creativity is a skill that can be trained and that you could become more creative by increasing your scope of knowledge and increasing your openness to view things from wildly different perspectives? In other words can your ability to think outside the box (or outside the brick) be developed?

    • @tmcleanful
      @tmcleanful 2 місяці тому

      @@wesfin I think so because it has more to do with your attitude and philosophical approach than anything that becomes hard-coded at a certain point, like intelligence. Intelligence obviously helps, but without the right approach all the smarts in the world can still leave a person spinning in circles while someone with a lower IQ could come in with a fresh perspective and break the cycle, much to the shock of the certified genius.

    Wow these are your 4 new arguments for your god? Not a single one actually is an Argument for god - none are even an actual argument of any kind really. None do anything to actually refute the theory of the Big Bang at all either lol. Everything in this vid is just laughable at best… I think my fave is the “4th big bang” he claims we need to explain the incredible mind that, according to him, we find ONLY in humans. He says most lower life forms have brains but yet we don’t see other animals making art (like a Michelangelo). His whole point is to try and say that the mind is not a consequence of our brain as if they are not totally tried to one another. I guess this guy either has never had a dead pet , or maybe he just had one but they didnt have the most unique or obvious personality (or he just didn’t bother to pay attention enough to see it). But everyone else out there that knows what I’m referring to knows that animals actually do have their own personalities. And some even do art (like the painting elephants). The real truth is we have no way of knowing for sure exactly what goes on in any other BEINGS mind -dog, elephant, cat, or even other humans. We are forced to go by what we observe in their actions and in the case of most people what they tell us by talking since most of us can talk and most other animals can not. Of course there are people out there that CAN NOT TALK, as well as other animals that have learned to mimic the human voice amazingly and now can use it to express certain things to us. So sorry dude in this video - in order for what ur saying to be true it would require there to be no exceptions and all u gotta do is simply google painting elephants or talking cats and ur whole idea falls apart. Guess u will have to try again or something-if u can even call that a try.. and prager u is some sort of university right? Right… sigh. Grow up people - religion Is fairy tales for grown ups and there is not even one actual good argument that is out there and known to the world that can support anyone honestly examining it critically and skeptically and then still genuinely believing it’s really true. So stop lying to yourselves- it’s beyond sad and I’m done being another atheist who sits and caters to Christians by trying to show respect to their ridiculous beliefs. I’m not telling u what to do or taking anything from u . I’m just telling u the truth and that is that ur religious beliefs are dumb and holding you and also society back. More importantly there simplyIS NO GOD and you have been living EVERYDAY without a god and done JUST FINE so stop being scared and childish and just see reality for what it is. The world is an amazing place and I don’t see your god anywhere so what does that tell you?

      The problem is that while Dr. Sheldrake would likely happily agree to a discussion with Harris, Sam's ideological absolutism would require that he reject the idea of a discussion altogether. The combination of Sheldrake's intellect and unconventional hypotheses would make him inaccessible to Sam Harris, who has to remain within the borders of a very specific ideological paradigm. He can't violate what he's committed himself to - that's why he said he'd support the Neocon/Neolib regime even if Hunter Biden had the corpses of many dead children in his basement. He's imprisoned himself by choice - the only way he could change is through a lightning-strike moment of repentance, like Saul. That's a very rare thing.

    I suppose that I am a bit lucky in terms of creativity. It’s been said that I have an abundance of creative output and that my art is a fully integrated part of my Self. Writing, drawing (winning provincial contests at it as a kid), painting, sculpting, drumming, guitar, designing (graphic and building) - speaking of, I work in design-build, featured in a provincial publication, and have been self-employed for around 30 years now. Scouted by US college for hockey when I was 13, excelled in all sports. Have had a very solid grasp on Gnostism then Jung for a couple of decades. No matter, it’s always been a financial struggle despite every damn creative solution. So, what to do? Shed more light on my 4th function and forge on 🫤
